Welcome to Indulgence Theatre.

Indulgence Theatre was formed in Lincoln in January 2003. A kindly old man with failing sight and a penchant for wearing berets had a dream to put on an epic production of 'Antony & Cleopatra' at the college theatre where he was once head of drama. Drawing from a bizarre mixture of colleagues, friends, ex-students and anyone else who would listen, a cast and crew was put together and the production went on in November 2003 at Bishop Grosseteste College Theatre to great acclaim.

Everyone had such a good time that it was agreed that more 'Indulgences' should follow. Congreve's 'The Way of the World' was a decadent production of sparkling wit, ridiculous wigs and outrageous cleavages that appeared at Lincoln Drill Hall in October 2004.

As our name suggests, we are a company who like to enjoy ourselves! Our indulgences vary, from the play we choose to perform to the amount of cakes and wine consumed at company meetings. Ultimately we work very hard to achieve the highest possible standards in all areas of our productions, and we strive to improve and develop from show to show.
